Fun time in Indy!

Of course i made us do something educational so we went to the zoo. The best part was at the White River Botanical Gardens, they were having their butterfly exhibit...i was of course beside myself.

This is an expired version of the main butterfly i was looking for. The butterfly keeper lady told me that this one was filled with eggs and couldn't find anywhere to lay them, so her abdomen exploded.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!..what a horrible way to go and i must say that kind of took the romance out of the butterfly exhibit. Note: you can actually see the busted abdomen...poor blue...

The Miss/Ala crack PR team!
Me and my friend/coworker Samantha. I must say for a diva in training, she hung pretty well.

Debra dancing with coworkers the lobbyist and the PR guy....this must be how they do staff development in Alabama.....i am so glad i was on the right side of the camera.

You could pay money to put your slogan on the phrase of the night board...I must say this is a brilliant ploy to take advantage of drunks....maybe we need one at Kittrell's. This was Debra's sign in response to her Dale Carnegie Leadership class instructor when he said, if you act positive and think positive thoughts, you will have positive results....she told him this to make sure she understood the concept.....

This was ours....3 out of five of us went to DSU so for once we outnumbered the MSU grads at a Bureau function......We pooled our resources to show our pride.........$13

The Nebraskans....they took great pride in teaching me to say...."Husker up bitches" i think i may have added the last part! I am so charming and precious!

Crown and water please...not sure why it's upside down but i don't have time to redo..
My friend Debra from Alabama....on stage....and you wonder why she's my mentor...

This lady was a soccer mom in one of my small groups...she commandeered the mic at howl at the moon...nice...i know the kids would be proud!

Fun times in Indianapolis...not a lot of free time, mostly seminars but we managed to fit in a good time every chance we got. All in all Indy was very clean and nice, except for the yankees, they aren't really nice......I got to see my good friend Debra i met at the PR conference she is from Alabama and my FB mentor. She does the magazine in Bama.

The Office Retreat

So this pretty much sums up how i felt about it. As for the roaps course or excuse me, "challenge course." i participated in a couple of events and then sensing my awkwardness/trepidation/humiliation the guide lady, Gaye, asked me to take pictures for her. Thanks Gaye! Later on, me and other staff members drank and played trivial pursuit. Of course me and my partner Andy won.....well we would have if Andy hadn't had to pass out early and I hadn't gotten too drunk to participate.........just kidding....kind of.......

Get your roll on....

The Group

M.B. Preaching the word....
M.B. throwing the smackdown on her former employer who shall remain nameless

Stewart was worried about running out, but we forget to eat and mostly drank...

Emily read somewhere (imagine that) that Jessica Simpson has a standard pose to look photogenic in her paparazzi shots. This was her fist drunken attempt at "The Look"

Oh my gosh it worked....she does look photogenic..thanks Jess....

Little sister don't you do what your big sister done....

Artistic Shot...Mandy's sister, Jennifer Harvey, braved the insanity and joined us.

Pale is the new tan....
No she didn't......yes she did!!

"I find friendship to be like wine, raw when new, ripened with age, the true old man's milk and restorative cordial."
—Thomas Jefferson

I found this appropriate with the wine and the sushi.....truly though there is nothing more restorative than spending time with those you care for. The uncontrollable laughter, unabashed comfort and delightful reminiscing is a rare find among old friends and something that I truly treasure.  It is a testament to our friendship, nurtured in the fertile Yazoo soil, that we continue to enjoy each other's company into our, dare i say it....middle ages......I hope these bonds continue....Stewart taught us how to roll sushi. I think we did pretty well. We just got drunk and forgot to eat it. Ha...Fun times....
